Following the publication of the GCSE league tables for 2017, yet again, we are delighted to report outstanding results in GCSE results for both attainment and progress. We are really pleased with our enviable Progress 8 score of +0.3 and the government’s new standard of students achieving a Grade 5 in both English and Maths places us over 20% above both the Birmingham average and the National Average. We are particularly pleased with the performance of our more able students who achieved some fantastic higher grades.
Neil Warner, Executive Headteacher of Arthur Terry School and National Leader of Education, said:
“The publication of these results is a real endorsement of the hard work of our students and teachers, brilliantly supported by our parents.”
Associate Headteacher Samantha Kibble added: “We are incredibly proud of the results particularly with such change to examination specifications and grade boundaries.”
