On Thursday 15th June a multiplicity of employers, universities and apprenticeship providers descended upon Arthur Terry to deliver a series of workshops to our year 12 sixth form students. Delegates were able to choose four optional workshop presentations to suit their individual needs ranging from investment banking at Deutsche Bank to degree apprenticeship programmes with Boots and BMW, Civil engineering and bridge construction with Mouchel to working for Network rail or training as a lawyer. In addition there were more generic sessions on student finance, student life and of course personal statements and completing UCAS applications! A HUGE thanks goes to Mrs Anne Gambles who organised the event, ably supported by Vivienne Aspinall, Roger Townsend and Tricia Davies and the rest of the sixth form team. What with students visiting the UCAS conference at the NEC on Tuesday followed by yesterday’s enrichment day, all the students need now to do is to begin to narrow their next steps choices!
