Jane Horrocks and the cast of East is East visits Arthur Terry

On Tuesday 13th January 2015 18 students from The Arthur Terry School attended a performance of the newly revived 80’s classic ‘East is East’ at the Alexander Theatre starring Jane Horrocks. The A Level theatre studies students were inspired by the excellent acting and dramatic techniques they saw in the show and were delighted when, following the performance, the cast and crew of the production came to the Arthur Terry School. The students were treated to a lively and engaging QA session and a workshop with the cast and crew, gaining a real professional insight into character development and methods of working with a script. The A Level students were really inspired by the day, with Director of Performing Arts Craig Jordan saying ‘It was an amazing experience for our students to work alongside such acclaimed professional actors and to be given an insight into the world of professional acting’.
