On Tuesday 6th May, twenty eight Y12 Psychology students took a trip into the unknown travelling to Wolverhampton to experience a evening’s entertainment at the Grand theatre with the famous illusionist, Derran Brown. What an opportunity to see the powerful effects of behaviorism put into practice live on stage. The show was thought provoking, engaging and almost unbelievable. From hypnotism, and conditioning to debunking psychics and teaching practical memory strategies. The students and teachers alike were entertained, amused and left wanting more. The show proved to be an all-round educational and fascinating experience with one student saying “Derran Brown is more magical than Harry Potter”. A truly “memorable” evening for all the staff and students.
