On Tuesday 30th October, eighty students from Arthur Terry and partner schools from across Birmingham attended Pathway CTM’s, Employability event.
Students, who gave up a day of their half-term break to connect with some of the country’s leading employers, participated in three workshops; the first explored psychometric testing, the second interview techniques – with live questions from real employers and finally there was an open Q&A session.
After a free Dominos pizza lunch, students were then able to network directly with the visiting employers with Accenture, BDO, IBM, PwC, JLR, National Grid and the Navy all represented. Students were able to fire questions to current apprentices, graduates and those who run the various employment programmes at the firms.
Pathway CTM, CEO Chris McNamara said, ‘It has been great to connect leading UK apprenticeship and graduate scheme employers with students across the West Midlands. For the second year running, the Arthur Terry School has been a great host, with Pathway’s Midlands Employability event having the highest student turnout, so far this year!’
