Sixth Form First Aid training!

Over the past two weeks, one hundred and thirty-three year 12 sixth form students undertook a First Aid training course delivered by Anne-Marie Allen of the British Red Cross. The course covered all manner of emergency care treatments with students able to practise the correct depth and speed of chest compressions on resuscitation mannequins. Last year, one of our current year 13 students was able to utilise her First Aid training in an emergency situation. Whilst we hope the students will never need to use their newly acquired skills, being aware of these critical basics is an essential life skill.
