Sutton Students team up with hotel for British Food Fortnight

Budding chefs from the Arthur Terry School will be cooking up a storm at Moor Hall next week. As part of British Food Fortnight, nine year 12 A-Level Food Technology students will be spending the day at Moor Hall on Wednesday 1 October. The young chefs will be involved in all aspects of hospitality, including preparing the food and room. This will culminate with students serving a three course evening meal for parents and Arthur Terry staff. Sue Hemmings, Head of Food Technology, said: “The students are thrilled to be taking part. It will be a very busy day for them! Not only will this event give students an insight into working in a kitchen, but it will also increase their practical skills and give them lots of ideas for improving the presentation of foods they will making as part of their coursework. “We’re proud of our partnership with Moor Hall. This event is about sourcing the best of locally grown – both food and students!”
