On Thursday 13th June 2019 all 200 + year 12 students had the opportunity to look ahead to apprenticeship, university and career routes at the annual Enrichment Day event co-ordinated by Arthur Terry’s very own Mrs Gambles and ably supported by wide representation among the sixth form team.
Students were able to select three small group workshops of their choosing, alongside a compulsory personal statement presentation plus whole year group apprenticeship and Unifrog presentations in the afternoon.
Wide ranging workshop choices open to the Arthur Terry sixth formers included a myriad of Universities such as Loughborough, Birmingham University, BCU, Leicester, Coventry, UCFB, Keele & Aston University; Employers including Jaguar Landrover, legal firm, Eversheds Sutherland, accountancy firms, Pricewaterhouse Coopers & Ernst &Young, engineering firms PDMA & WSP, the NHS, representatives from Birmingham’s Chambers of Commerce, Gap year programme providers Outward Bounds & College Prospects America and Apprenticeship guidance providers Pathway CTM & My First Job.
79% of the participating students found the event provided ideas for life after Arthur Terry with a pleasing 91% of students reporting a maximum 5/5 excellent rating regarding the usefulness of the event.
Huge thanks once again to the many staff across the school involved in this high profile event, in particular Mrs Gambles.#
