Business Coach

Why did you want to become a Governor at Arthur Terry?
As my children became pupils at The Arthur Terry School I wanted to take an active part in the development of the school.

What skills and attributes do you have that you bring to your role as Governor?
As a business coach and trainer my main attribute is to challenge peoples thinking. I believe that I bring that challenge to meetings. As a former accountant: working in a large accountancy firm, I have a business knowledge which I also believe to be important to the running of a school like Arthur Terry.

What do you enjoy most about being a Governor?
I enjoy seeing and discussing the success of our pupils and contributing in my small way to the development of the school. Having a role in learning and development means that my interviewing skills are good. I love being involved in the recruitment of new staff and watching their progress.
