Sue Burke

Operations Manager

Why did you want to become a Governor at Arthur Terry?
I am a firm believer that a good education is a partnership between both home and school. I also feel that if a child is happy and well motivated, they will perform to the best of their ability, not only academically but also socially. As a governor I hope that the skills I have enable me to assist the school and other governors to ensure all students reach their full potential within a successful and caring environment.

What skills and attributes do you have that you bring to your role as Governor?
I work for a local company dealing with all types of situations within a business environment, which enables me to give a positive and professional contribution to the challenges and ethos of school life. I also have experience as a school governor both at secondary and primary schools and have held various positions of responsibilities.

What do you enjoy most about being a Governor?
Having two sons who have both attended Arthur Terry being a school governor gives me the opportunity to be able to give something back not only to the school, but also to the local community.
